Legal
Terms of Service
Effective date: July 25, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Healthcare Reviewer website and platform. By creating an account or applying to work on the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. What Healthcare Reviewer is
Healthcare Reviewer is a work platform that connects credential-verified medical professionals with paid AI training and evaluation projects, including clinical data annotation, medical Q&A evaluation, model red-teaming, and review of AI-generated clinical content.
Work performed on the platform is AI training and evaluation. It is not the practice of medicine, does not create a clinician–patient relationship, and nothing on the platform constitutes medical advice or clinical care.
2. Eligibility and credential verification
To perform paid work you must be at least 18 years old, legally able to work as an independent contractor in your jurisdiction, and pass credential verification appropriate to your role (for example, an active professional license, current enrollment at an accredited program, or a verifiable research appointment).
You must provide accurate credential information and keep it current. Misrepresenting your license status, training stage, or identity is grounds for immediate removal and forfeiture of pending payouts, and may be reported where legally required.
3. Independent contractor relationship
Reviewers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of Healthcare Reviewer. You control when and how much you work. Nothing in these terms creates an employment relationship, and you are responsible for your own taxes, including any self-employment obligations. US-based reviewers receive an IRS Form 1099 where required.
4. Payment
Each project lists its compensation before you accept it. Payment accrues for work that meets the project's stated quality bar and is approved through the platform's review process. Approved work is paid on a weekly cycle to your designated payment account.
We may withhold or reverse payment for work product that is plagiarized, generated in violation of project rules (including undisclosed use of AI tools where prohibited), or produced under a misrepresented credential.
5. Confidentiality and data handling
Project materials, including prompts, model outputs, rubrics, and datasets, are confidential. You may not publish, share, or reuse them outside the platform.
Review work uses de-identified or synthetic clinical data. You must not upload, reference, or reconstruct identifiable patient information from any source, including your own practice or institution. Attempting to re-identify individuals in any dataset is prohibited.
6. Acceptable use
When using the platform you agree not to:
- Share your account or complete work on behalf of another person
- Use automated tools to complete review work where a project prohibits it
- Circumvent, probe, or overload the platform's security or infrastructure
- Solicit platform clients or reviewers for off-platform arrangements that circumvent the platform
7. Intellectual property
Work product you create on the platform (ratings, corrections, annotations, written rationales) is assigned to Healthcare Reviewer or its clients upon payment, as detailed in the reviewer agreement you sign at onboarding. The Healthcare Reviewer name, site content, and platform software remain our property.
8. Termination
You may stop using the platform at any time; accrued approved payouts will be paid on the normal cycle. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, failed or lapsed credential verification, or sustained quality failures, with payout of any approved work completed before termination.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including availability of work, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Project volume varies and is not guaranteed.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Healthcare Reviewer's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the platform is limited to the amounts paid to you by the platform in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced by email or in-platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
